The name “ærlig” – the Danish word for “honest” – reflects the philosophy of the young Danish label, which stands for natural fragrances with a special focus on transparency, allergy awareness and sustainability. Founder Lis Hansen fulfilled a heartfelt wish with the creation of her fragrances.
Through her work as a product developer in the hair and skincare sector, Lis, as a laboratory and environmental technician, became familiar with the 26 fragrance substances classified as allergenic under EU cosmetic regulations. She decided to create fragrances that avoid these potential allergens.
After a two-year development phase, Lis launched three naturally sustainable fragrances in summer 2020 under the minimalist names “P1”, “P2” and “P3”. The perfumes are free from the 26 fragrance allergens declared by the EU and are produced sustainably. Both during production and packaging, natural resources are handled responsibly.
The Eau de Parfums by Aerlig are inspired by Nordic clarity and aesthetics. The elegant packaging, luxurious bottles and unique fragrance creations stand out through their simple elegance.
