The name “ærlig”—the Danish word for “honest”—reflects the philosophy of this young Danish brand, which specializes in natural fragrances with a particular focus on transparency, allergy-friendliness, and sustainability. Founder Lis Hansen has fulfilled a lifelong dream by creating her fragrances.

Through her work as a product developer in the hair and skincare sector, Lis, as a laboratory and environmental technician, was familiar with the 26 fragrances classified as allergens by the EU Cosmetics Directive. She decided to create fragrances that avoid these potential allergens.

After a two-year development phase, Lis launched three natural, sustainable fragrances in the summer of 2020 with the minimalist names “P1,” “P2,” and “P3.” The perfumes are free of the 26 fragrance allergens declared by the EU and are produced sustainably. Natural resources are used responsibly in both manufacturing and packaging.
