The Kjaer Weis brand was founded by Danish-born Kirsten Kjaer Weis. During her 20 years as a makeup artist, she had as clients many models, actors* and people who suffered from allergies, blemishes and other skin problems. Kirsten attributed these to the many artificial, sometimes toxic, chemical ingredients in makeup. Although she knew that natural and organic makeup would be a better alternative, she couldn't find a makeup brand that could keep up with her clients' high standards. With her knowledge of makeup and the cosmetics industry, Kristen went into research and after years of hard work, the Kjaer Weis brand was born in 2010.
