Application:

Lips

 - Apply daily (or as often as desired) to chapped lips during pregnancy or while breastfeeding 

Nipples

- During the 2nd and 3rd trimesters, apply 2x daily to nipples to prevent cracking and sore skin areas 

- During breastfeeding: use daily between feedings as needed. To do this, rub a small amount between fingertips and apply to nipples or areola. Does not need to be removed before breastfeeding as it is perfume tasteless and odorless 

Scars

- Apply the balm 2 times a day to scar tissue where wound closure has occurred at least one month ago and massage gently to nourish the scar and favorably influence scar formation

At the heart of the melt-in-the-mouth formulation is nutrient-rich organic cupuaçu butter, which binds four times its own weight in water, making it highly hydrating and moisturizing. The extremely high water absorption capacity is even significantly higher than that of lanolin (a common ingredient for nipple ointments - but not vegan!), making cupuaçu butter an extremely moisturizing ingredient for vegan natural cosmetics. Thanks to ingredients such as phytosterols, antioxidants and vitamin E, cupuaçu butter is credited with wound-healing, antibacterial and regenerating properties and is thus often used in healing ointments. 

When combined with skin-protecting organic shea butter, affectionately known in Africa as the precious "gold of women," it regulates the skin's ability to retain moisture, soothes irritation and promotes skin regeneration. Shea butter is particularly rich in oleic acids such as palmitic acid, linoleic acid or stearic acid, which interact to provide insulating protection against environmental influences, bind moisture, have a cell-regenerating effect and keep the skin soft and supple. Sensitive skin in particular, which is often sensitive to chemical ingredients, benefits from the rich plant fat of the miracle balm shea butter.

An equally important part of the texture is cold-pressed organic olive oil. In folk medicine, it is considered the base oil of healing ointments, as it is rich in vital fatty acids that resemble the skin's own lipids and are thus involved in the repair and regeneration of cells. Rich in many valuable minerals and important trace elements, they provide an antiseptic effect, disinfect the skin and at the same time promote its wound healing.

The extract of the medicinal plant chamomile soothes, cares for brittle, scaly or cracked skin, inhibits inflammation as well as itching and ensures scar-free healing of minor injuries. Thanks to the extraction process, it has no allergenic substances and is therefore particularly skin-friendly.

The SOS Balm is rounded off by the use of skin-protecting vitamin E, which helps to maintain the skin's natural barrier function, putsty small cracks and promotes the formation of new cells, making them more resistant to bacteria, viruses and other pathogens. In addition, vitamin E has an antioxidant effect, so that with regular use the skin builds a kind of protective barrier against external influences.
